One could associate woo with philosophy, religion, or any other branch of study concerning itself with knowledge that is open to interpretation or subjectivity.
woo is typically characterized by the stringing together of enlightened sounding buzzwords like Wholeness, Oneness, Consciousness, The Universe, Awareness, Awakening, Aliveness and Enlightenment etc.
One often becomes a guru {spiritual teacher} when one has mastered speaking woo in a slow, serene and soothing {hypnotic} tone.
